Power--An Ultimatum of Human Nature (#36)

When it all comes down to it only two things are really important to the human being--two abstract concepts--power and the desire to fufill happiness (i'm going to stay concrete here and stay focused on one subject, power).

Our power is--to our perceieved notions--our ability to make decisions for ourselves, our free will, our control. We naturally crave power, and nearly everything we do can be traced down to the eventfulness of human power; being better than the other.

A preist feels that everything he says and does is rightfully true and/or justified and has that power over an individuals sense of reasoning. A fighter feels that his ability to fight gives him great power, naturally they are feared. A person with a gun feels the awe of fear and power when holding a gun. A person defending their family, uses that justification to feel some sort of power. A philosopher uses knowledge and persuasion to justify and deduce a conversation or point of view to feel a sense of superiority of control in human manipulation. A military official or soldier has that labeled social quality of being powerful. A celebrity has that sense of social control, same with a congressman or president. An activist convinces themself that their doing a rightful cause. An athlete loves their sport and what they do, and give resons to why they love it. Everything everyone likes to do, gives that someone that sense of freedom, that self control, that power.

We may not like to admit it but everything we like to think and do, is a way of showing others our power, or freewill, our ability, what we are capable of. We justify in our minds a reason to why we like to do something, but it inevitably comes down to the human nature that posses our minds; we're all true sociopaths. We tend to believe our own thoughts so heavily, that we think in terms of none, other than our own; even now this thought that i'm typing is a thought that I believe is true (a paradoxical statement), even now the responding thoughts you are producing in turn of reading this, are your thoughts that you are believeing to be true. Dont believe everything you think. Dont think everything you believe.

Power; our power, our control, our free-will, it is what we are, its what we crave, we all want some sort of power, otherwise we wouldnt be human.
