Judgement...(#19)

I had someone recently ask me,"Are you a Goth?".
I just stared at the person and said "no"
He said back "So why do you wear black then?"
"Because is the color of mysteriousness" I responded.

But since i was limited on time and thinking i couldnt explain what i really wanted to say, what i was truly thinking....

I like the color black its my favorite color, i never really knew why until recently i read an article online depicting what colors mean, defining what most people (according to studies) define a color as, or think of it as.

Black is considered to be the color of mysteriousness (defined universally), or the color of evil (defined by the general public)..

But was i going to explain this to him? tell him about the website, about the studies? Will it accomplish something? Does it matter?

Now granted i like the color black, and i do act like what one would call "mysterious". So apparently black fits me, whether its un-natural or subconsciously or possibly both; it does not matter. But what Does matter?

This person tried to categorize me by placing me in a group. Goth according to his views on what he thought was a person wearing all black.

A person only categorizes to try and identify and understand what this person does and why. He obviously does not understand me, and was trying the only way he knows how to. By identifying me a certain way.

I still gave him no answer..just more to think about; Which is the only TRUE way to understand someone or something...

So how do you go about understanding? Simple...You must think.

Thinking is two things however....
1.Questioning
2.Logic

Many people think that you shouldnt worry about thinking, just have fun and hope... But if your reading this still, then you obviously dont think that way. But many people however do not learn from words.
Most people need affirmitive action to help define and understand what the words mean in the first place, they need emotion to help the chemical reactions occuring in their brains to produce something of logic to understand it.

Actions Speak louder than words....So what are you going to do?
