Boredom, Conflict, Good/Evil: The Connection (#25)

Does anyone see the connection?

Anyone?.................

* = important information at end of blog
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
People I know always complain about being bored, and I tell them to go do something. They usually tell me I dont know what to do.

I actually spent some time trying to think of a remedy for boredom. But people say there is none. Some people say do what you like to do.

But what is it that you like to do?
Some people say going shopping, some people say working out, or playing video games. Some people say absurd things. Yet, no matter the what it is, someone probably can consider it fun.

But people often wonder how to not be bored if they cant do the things they like. How is that possible? Is there a remedy for boredom?

The more I think of it, the more I come down to actually understanding that boredom is just a lack of conflict in the mind.

No one is bored when their in some kind of conflict, whether that conflict is fist fighting with your enemy (social conflict), going to war (political conflict*1), trying to understand who you are (identity conflict), going on anger rampages like me (logical conflict), and Infinitly conflicting events.

Many people think of the word conflict as dealing with some sort of political/physical element in it. Yet conflict is on an infinite level.

Social Conflict
Political conflicts
Identity conflicts
Psychological conflicts
Biological conflicts
Physical Conflict (like disease)
Logic Conflicts
Truth Conflicts
-----the list goes on forever dealing from things like not having a pencil for class to trying to understand who you are in the world, trying to find truth, trying to find food, trying to figure out what your girlfriend/boyfriend is trying to do/say, it just goes on....

But how does conflict relate to boredom?

Boredom is a lack of conflict. Many of you will say that being NOT bored is doing something you like. But doing something you like in itself is a conflict of some sort.

Even going shopping or going to the pool or drinking at a party.

The shopping is basically, your mind trying to quell your boredom by doing something you like. This makes you feel good (happy emotion), thus happiness is an emotion designed to give you a goal to supply meaning/direction temporarily till you find more happiness/meaning, So inevitably your shopping is a way to win your conflict of boredom by doing something that makes you FEEL good.

*Boredom ceases when conflict begins.*2

So where does good and evil reside in this blog then if we've gotten down to boredom and how conflict is directly related to it?

Well, the more I think of it, many people are out in the world creating conflict not because of their beliefs, YES thats the justification, but I think it goes even deeper than that.
Its because of many things, lack of logic, lack of self knowledge, but mostly lack of conflict.

The mind seems to have this goal of not being bored. Everyone complains about boredom when their younger, because they dont have enough to do with their time, so they try to find things to do.

*People inadvertantly start conflict, just to surpress their boredom.*3

People will give rational justification to why their doing something dramatic. Like for example lets take the wars and major conflicts that have happened.

They all have happened for MUCH more basic human emotions than because of some higher greater cause. Like take Bin Laden for example, he says he hates the US for many reasons, but i think hes giving himself those reasons, in his mind because hes at the most basic level bored, but he secretly tells himself (even without his own knowledge) that hes part of Al-Qaida because of some higher purpose.

Think about it, he has royal family in many different countries, he has MONEY, he can practically do whatever he wants, hes probably bored out of his mind, hes done probably many things his whole life that people like you and me have never even thought existed. Its probably that hes done SO much (to his perception at least) that he has come up with a logical appeal (to his mind), to do something else entirely (join the al-qaida and fight in a holy war). But at its MOST BASIC LEVEL, the ideal is only represented from boredom.

Boredom causes him to tell himself logical things to start something conflicting to him (in this case the world too) to give him something to do. He turns that logical thinking into belief, into direction, giving him something to logically appeal off of, to say to others WHY he does things.

*Im starting to think thats what most people do, I fear.*4

Good and Bad comes into here, as in many people say they wouldnt do something to stop their boredom if it meant destroying peace and starting new conflicts, and getting rid of good. So thus many people are bored.

People wont sacrifice they will of society liking them, to just not be bored. People then TRY to change their views and beliefs to fit societies helping hand, and thus emotions/and feeling arise that CANNOT be explained. Even by the local psychologist, or the proffessional. They cannot be explained because the emotion is so mutated (from down to the basic emotion arises new more complicated ones if the original set of emotion/s cannot be fufilled), or such a complicated emotion, people cannot understand it. Thus the origin of the cause is lost in time and preached as something else, or many other things.

*Boredom has the potential to cause conflict.*5

People claim they have rational or logical reasons for why they do things. But the reality is, is you only do things because your emotions, your feelings tell you, you like something just because you do, you do things because you choose to do things. Your chemical balances and electrical impulses tell you thats what you like.

However on the next thought of mine, many people dont do things they would think is fun or do do things society thinks is fun, because society will condemn you somehow if you dont do what they like, so people learn to try and like things society likes, they may not like it to the fullest, and feel somewhat void in themselfs, but you cant tell what that null feeling is.

Its amazing how many problems are linked ultimately, and they come down to the most basic desires and freedoms of naturality, but people cannot understand them because their so complicated.

I try to explain them here, this is just one of the trillions of thought proccess I have.

Important infomation in document ****

1**Political conflict is ususally derived off of some basic human desire, leader vs leader
2**Thats the remedy for boredom, yet its more of a truth ideology than a remedy, but nevertheless people want to know why their bored, there you go...
3**Conflict is when you get down to the roots of why it happens (in humans) is just the most basic emotion (boredom) trying to open itself up
4**Many people say they have logical reasons for why they believe something or get involved with a conflict or start one, but its just another human desire/emotion in its deepest roots 5**Yes, another ideaology

To understand is the beginning of knowing.....
